As usual, I filed a routine FOIA request on some early 90's black budget projects that I was curious about. Mostly line items and amounts that were spent in that era. I received to my surprise and answer, of course with heavy redactions but one subprogram name caught my eye. Has anyone else heard of this or seen any other projects reference it? See Line item 4472-A "SUBPROGRAM PROJECT SECOND SIGHT".

Brief description

The parent program is redacted along with figure amount and 4472-A has it's figure amount redacted as well. Seems like it was meant to be redacted and they made a mistake, which is not usually the case. Maybe someone inside wanted this name to get out?

I've seen lots of inconsistenceies with redactions. Usually means nothing and leads to nothing. A big fat nothing burger because they ain't gonna tell you more anyway, ha! That being said, never heard of Project Second Sight. I'll keep an eye out for more references and keep an ear out at any congressional hearings.

Wait, you mean the agencies don't want to share info? Color me surprised! Mostly sharing for record but also there's something about the name that feels... different. Wish I could explain what I mean.

I swear I've heard this name before? Like in a dream or another life. I know that sounds so odd. I'm gonna go look through some old stuff.

If you anyting please note your source here. We must be diligent with the paper trails otherwise we'll spiral into conjecture. That being said, let's keep talk about dreams and other lives to private chats or in person meet ups. I want the space here to be as by the book as possible. (private messaging you OOrahBoorah)
