Hey there! My name's Trent. I've been an amateur Ham Radio operator (callsign WA9RAN) since 1978. I'm also obsessed with tracking our lovely Earth's geomagnetic activity. It all started when I witnessed an overwhelming aurora borealis in Chapleau, Ontario when I was a boy and my fathers Ham radio was rendered useless long distance for several days. I have my own amateur weather station and I monitor the ionosphere so you don't have to!
I update weekly. Please head down and sign the guestbook below.

I log all my own geomagnetic data alongside NOAA K-Index bulletins. Normally my data-sets match 1:1 with minimal variation. However the second week of February 1995 was anything but usual.
From February 5th to Feb 12th my Fluxgate Compass (DIY rig) recorded off the chart activity despite official NOAA records leveling around K-1 and K-2. Admittedly, this is DIY rig so inaccurate recordings are entirely possible. I do take great care in my equipment so I'm confident I have something here. Any other locals have data to share?
Trent — been watching your page for a while. I had personal data I was going to share but I had an unfortunate break-in and someone stole all of my data along with my gear... wasn't a cheap investment. Always keep a backup floppy!
My girlfriend loves your page and I am now a fellow Iono-watcher. We have had strange occurrences all week. Not just with our gear but with... everything. Does anyone else feel like somethings watching them...?
Something isn't right. I don't know where else to post. Prima Materia is the infinite shadow cast by God. The observer is here. A form between folds. A quota must be filled.
